Your Love Story

DOCUMENTED

CELEBRATED

CHERISHED

photographer leaning against brick wall holding camera

Hi, I’m Marie

I’m a family and wedding photographer in Co Clare (but close to Limerick) and I travel all over Ireland photographing families, couples, and events in a way that honours and celebrates the beauty & importance of real life

just the way it is.

As a documentary wedding photographer, I create unposed, natural, storytelling images for people who want to enjoy their day their way.

And I absolutely love photographing weddings

But the reason why I love being a wedding photographer might surprise you

It’s not because of the morning preparations, the hair & the make-up

although there’s nothing like a morning spent in nervous & joyful anticipation

*

And it’s not because of the ceremony

although with each ceremony I fall more and more in love with my own man

*

It’s not because of the dinner, the speeches or the dancing.

It’s not about the dress.

although there is nothing as beautiful as a bride

*

It’s not about the flowers. It’s not about the band.

*

A wedding is about people.

It’s about you and the people who know you & love you

It’s about promises.

It’s about two lives becoming one.

It’s about taking the next step in life

together.

Your wedding photos are a visual testimony to the story of your love

it’s a story

worth telling well

I know that choosing a wedding photographer is an important decision.

My goal is to give you the both the experience and the pictures that you truly want from your day.

So, how do you know if I’m the right wedding photographer for you?

If you value memories & moments

even (especially) if they aren’t perfect

if you want candid, natural photos

no timelines or telling you what to do,

just photographs that capture the day as it unfolds

and if you want to look back in 1, 10, 50 years and relive your day, in all its imperfect perfection

the small details and the intimate moments, the nervousness and laughter and exchange of rings and vows and teary hugs and awkward speeches and sighs of relief and dancing and doing it all with the person you love most…

Then we’re going to get along just fine!

He wasn’t sure he wanted a photographer…but they were glad they had me!

And I’m so grateful I was there to be a part of their small, intimate wedding with family & friends they cherish, to capture the moments, the relationships and the memories that matter most. The couples portraits were just a bonus.

Sandra & Oisín

"There's something about them that just makes you want to give them anything, do anything at all, just for the joy of watching them smile"

That’s what everyone said about them - and I totally and completely agree. Every once in a while you meet someone whose warmth and joy and genuine love envelopes every person in their presence and turns strangers into family. Here they are. And I got to photograph their wedding!

Kilyn & Will

When Kilyn wrote about an adventure wedding in a castle tower and epic wedding photos at the Cliffs of Moher, I was pretty sure I was dreaming! For a wedding photographer, Ireland is full of beauty, but there are few places as spectacular as Co Clare.

Together with just a few good friends, their wedding photos show just how special their day was - from the fire-lit ceremony in Newtown Castle, to a Cliffs of Moher adventure, to pints in Doolin - it was perfection.

Is there anything more romantic than wedding photos at the Cliffs of Moher? I think not.

If you love a bit of romance, have a sense of humour, and enjoy looking at wedding pictures, take a look at some more slideshows of some very special days
