A Morning Newborn Photo Session At Home
Do you do photos if the house is messy? Do I ever!
Because where you see mess, I see memories. And spending this morning with this family in this house with all of the things that make up the story of their lives together was more than I could have asked for - it was perfection.
Life isn’t tidy. Isn’t that wonderful? Life is beautiful as it is. Newborns are hard work, but it’s a work that fills the heart with joy.
What I love about spending time with a family is that we don’t have to come up with poses or things to do or silly games (unless we want to of course!) because life is full and busy just the way it is, from morning coffee, to playing chess, bathing and feeding and dressing a wee little one who really just wants you to sit on the couch all day and feed her - these are the things you’ll remember in a little heart-tugging way because when you’re remembering them, it means life has changed once more and that little newborn is crawling, or running, or on her way to school.
And isn’t it wonderful that these pictures exist to ease that little heart-tug and bring a smile to a face that might also have a tear. Parenthood is worth documenting, every chapter of your story is worth telling.
